We will be married in the context of a full Catholic mass, beginning at 2:00 PM, at the Church of Christ the King in Guilderland, New York.

Christ the King is Nicole's family parish, where she grew up and received all her sacraments, and we're delighted at all the family history that will be represented in the church on our wedding day. Three generations of Nicole's family have been members of the parish, and Nicole's parents were married in the old Christ the King church in 1978. In 2001, the worship space was moved to a new building adjacent to the old sanctuary building. The new building was decorated with pieces rescued from two downtown Albany churches that had been decommissioned, including St Joseph's Church where Nicole's paternal grandparents were married. So just before she walks down the aisle, Nicole will pass through the same doors that her grandmother Helen passed through on her own wedding day.
Celebrant: Reverend Patrick J. Butler
Father Butler was Nicole's parish priest from 1992 to 2006, when he was reassigned to another church in the area. We're so excited that he has agreed to return to Christ the King to celebrate our wedding mass, as his inclusive and loving interpretation of scripture, church teachings, and the role of the Catholic Church in our world were instrumental in Nicole's faith formation and represent many of the central themes of our shared religious outlook.
